Little Portugal is primarily a residential area made up of mostly Portuguese descent. Most recently, businesses on the main streets of Dundas West and Ossington have been renovated by Anglo influences. Residential values have increased significantly due toit's close proximity, one streetcar ride, to downtown Toronto.
